Rules & fair play
Last updated October 8, 2026
hiscore.fun is a weekly mini-golf challenge. The startup at #1 on this week's board is featured to every visitor: on the homepage, the flag, and the course sign. Take #1 and the spotlight is yours until someone beats you.
The game
- One shot per hole. Sink it and you advance; miss once and the run ends.
- Your score is the number of holes you sink in a row.
- Every player gets the same sequence of holes each week. A new course opens every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
The competition
- Practice is free and unlimited, and you don't need an account.
- Each signed-in player gets one ranked try per day, or five with Arcade Pass. Tries reset at 00:00 UTC. A try is used when you take its first shot.
- If you leave a ranked run, you can resume it until 00:00 UTC. After that it locks at its verified score.
- Arcade Pass never changes how a shot plays. It only adds tries, and the same verification applies to every shot.
- Rankings are by startup: each startup's best verified run of the week counts. Ties go to whoever reached the score first.
- One entry per website. The board resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC.
How scores are verified
- Your browser only sends the direction and power of each shot. Our server replays it with the same physics and decides whether it went in. The browser never reports a score.
- Shots must be taken at a human pace, with a real aiming motion. Automated play is detected and blocked.
- Every ranked shot is recorded so any run can be replayed and audited.
Disqualification
We may remove runs or startups that use automation, exploit bugs, impersonate another company, use multiple accounts to enter the same company, or feature offensive or misleading content. Disqualified runs don't count toward rankings. Our decision on featuring is final.
The prize
The weekly winner is shown in the featured spot on the hiscore.fun homepage and as the flag and course signage inside the game for the following week. Runners-up are listed below the winner. There is no cash prize.
